Founded in 1909, Ashley Hall is a college preparatory day school dedicated to educating young women from kindergarten through grade 12. The Early Education Center focuses on the development of boys and girls, ages two to four and offers both full or half day programs.
At Ashley Hall, college placement is 100%, and students regularly receive early acceptance to first-choice institutions. Graduates attend competitive four-year colleges across the nation and abroad.
Most of the School's award-winning international faculty holds advanced degrees, and the ratio of students to teachers is ten to one. Foreign language is taught daily in the Early Education Center and continues through Upper School . Advanced Placement courses are offered in all school departments. Ashley Hall is high-tech with state-of-the art learning through on-line competitions, an automated media center, a networked campus and motion dectection/graphing calculators to support the math and science areas. Offerings in mathematics range from basic computation courses to Advanced Placement Calculus and Statistics.
The arts program includes painting, ceramics, photography, dance, instrumental music, drama, and AP courses in studio and art history. The arts center houses a Recital Hall with a Steinway concert grand piano available for students and the community. Choral groups are available in Lower School through Upper School , culminating with participation in the Red Choir, a select group of vocalists that travels nationally and internationally. A variety of athletic opportunities is available to students. Intramural sports are introduced in the Lower School while interscholastic competitions are available for the Middle School and Upper School students. Athletic facilities include an air conditioned gymnasium, heated swimming pool and a sports complex for soccer, softball, and track and field events. Tennis courts and challenge courses will be completed in the near future.
The extended day program is available for pre-school through Middle School. After school activities are offered in a variety of areas allowing students to explore interests beyond the classroom. SummerFest offers co-ed programs to Ashley Hall students and to students from the community throughout the summer.
Ashley Hall is committee to a talented and diverse student population and offers competitive scholarships, tuition grants, flexible payment plans and financial assistance. Financial assistance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying families in kindergarten through Grade 12.
