Grades K3-12

First Baptist Church School, established in 1949 as part of the church’s total program, offers its students an excellent college preparatory education in a Christian setting. All First Baptist graduates apply to and are accepted by colleges and universities throughout the United States. The academic curriculum for students from three year kindergarten through twelfth grade is enriched by Bible study, classroom art, computer science, private and group music instruction and drama. Foreign language instruction begins in five year kindergarten and is offered through the twelfth grade.
Students in grades 5-12 may participate in interscholastic sports. The Student Government Association and clubs offer the students an opportunity to develop their leadership skills through involvement in school and community-oriented projects. In addition to the academic program, the school offers a well- supervised extended day program for students in grades three-year kindergarten through six. First Baptist, located in historic downtown Charleston, is accredited by the Southern Association Of Colleges and Schools and the South Carolina Independent School Association. It is a member of the South Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association.
Yearly tuition and fees range from $6078 to $6657 depending on the grade level. Bus transportation is available, and the fee will vary depending on the student’s pick-up/ drop-off point. Admission testing is required for all prospective students. Testing is arranged upon return of an application and testing fee.
